Gratefulness

I had a terrific day.  I woke up very early.  I had a very positive and productive meeting. I prepared marketing documents for an event that I will be attending presenting both of my businesses on Sunday. I left home at 5am this morning, and other than the short stop for a quick shower and a little cuddling with my daughter, I was out all day.
It is almost 11pm.
I am still at the studio, finishing up this blog.
I am super tired, yet grateful.

I am grateful for being able to do what I love to do.

I am grateful for you coming here every week and looking at my photographs, hopefully get inspired, maybe you also read the little blurbs I write and maybe you laugh when I attempt to be funny.  I am grateful for that.

That's why I don't want to let this week go by without sharing some pictures with the regulars and newbies of this blog.  So here it goes... These are some more pics from the last month's Big Sur trip.

I was grateful to lift up my head and look up at this moment...

Grateful for lifting my head up at this moment

I was grateful for this amazing sunset...

Grateful for this amazing view

I was grateful for being able to live in this serenity even if just for a few days...

Grateful for this peaceful moment

And, this goes without saying, yet I will never get tired of saying it... I am grateful for these two...

Grateful for my wife and daughter

Make it a fantastic weekend my peeps!

Me, Myself & I Went Camping...

Last Sunday, I headed up North with the fam to spend a couple of nights in our second home: Big Sur.  Those of you who follow this blog would know how important Big Sur is for the Hanci family.

The Big Sur blogs are popular on Friday Photography Blog site...

There is the first one, the one that is about painting the night has tons of Big Sur photographs as well.  Then this one documents us making Big Sur the final destination for our beloved friend Katie.  Of course, the most popular Big Sur entry of KHP's FPB was the one about the time we introduced our little peanut to Big Sur.  And last year, I was super stoked to bring my brother and his girlfriend to this little piece of Heaven on Earth.

Anyways, I might share more photographs from this year's trip in the future blogs, and I am sure my wife's Mommy Hiker Blog will have an impressive entry sharing KHP's photographs.

Today, I would like to focus on an intriguing thing that happened.  While my family was enjoying the warm campfire under the redwoods, I strolled down to the beach.... It is a few minutes walk from the campground next to the creek.  And I saw Myself and Me getting into an argument.  First, I thought about stopping the nonsense and having a peaceful night sharing a couple of beers with them.  But when things got a bit violent, I grabbed my camera and watched Me kicking Myself's butt...

I really don't know why they were fighting, but it was super fun to watch these handsome guys hitting each other... So I sat under the moonlight and I watched and I watched...

A Fall Wedding

I mentioned before that love weddings in autumn.  Fall weddings have a different ambiance.  While the spring weddings feel crisp and young, fall weddings are always warm and mature to me.  Here is Susana and Mitchell who joined their lives together in fall and Susana appropriately chose a color scheme with the warm earthy colors.

The First Look was followed by a lovely ceremony...

Then I got to photograph this fun couple and the great wedding party before the reception started.

I snapped this one while they were in the photo booth...

I wish Susana and Mitchell a fantastic life together in an abundance of health and happiness! Congratulations again!

If you would like to catch me in the fall, I still have two weekends open in September and one in November. Book me and mention FALL14 and you'll get a 10% off on already great prices! Click here to see my online calendar.

Van & Enzo's Wedding

Here is another fun wedding! Van & Enzo got married and I had the privilege to document that lovely day.  First there was a traditional tea ceremony followed by a delicious luncheon at the bride's house.  After the wedding ceremony at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church, we traveled to a near by park next to the Mile Square Golf Course. Then it was party time and groom's father opened the festivities with an impromptu performance in front of the live mariachi band.

Van and Enzo, I wish you a togetherness in prosperity, health and happiness. Congratulations!
